Welcome to Village Picnic. By booking an experience, purchasing a gift voucher, or participating in any of our activities, you agree to the following Terms and Conditions. Please read them carefully before confirming your booking.
Village Picnic Limited (“Village Picnic”, “we”, “us”, “our”) curates bespoke picnic experiences featuring local artisan producers and scenic destinations across Matakana and Queenstown.
All bookings and interactions with Village Picnic are governed by these Terms and Conditions and New Zealand consumer law.
Bookings are confirmed once full payment has been received through our website or an approved reseller.
Prices are listed in New Zealand Dollars (NZD) and include GST unless otherwise stated.
You will receive a confirmation email detailing your experience, inclusions, and instructions.
It is your responsibility to ensure all booking details (names, dates, dietary requirements, etc.) are correct.
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation policy is as follows:
7 days or more before the booked date: Full refund or free reschedule.
3–6 days before the booked date: 50% refund or free reschedule (subject to availability).
Within 48 hours of the booked date or no-shows: No refund available.
Gift vouchers are non-refundable but may be transferred to another person.
Our picnics are designed to be enjoyed outdoors. In the event of severe weather, we will work with you to reschedule your picnic or provide an alternative indoor location where possible.
Safety is your responsibility while participating in the experience. Please respect all local guidelines, terrain warnings, and instructions from our team or partnering venues.
Village Picnic works with trusted local suppliers who follow food safety best practices.
Please advise us of any allergies or dietary requirements at least 5 days before your picnic.
While we take all reasonable care, we cannot guarantee an allergen-free environment.
Vouchers are valid for 6 months from the date of purchase, unless otherwise specified.
They may be redeemed online for any available experience in Matakana or Queenstown.
Lost or expired vouchers cannot be replaced, extended, or refunded.
Village Picnic and its partners accept no responsibility for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property during your experience.
Participation is at your own risk.
We are not liable for delays, cancellations, or changes caused by weather, supplier issues, or circumstances beyond our control (force majeure).
By participating in a Village Picnic experience, you consent to any photos or videos taken for promotional use, unless you advise us otherwise in writing before the experience.
Your personal information is used solely to manage your booking, deliver your experience, and communicate updates.
We respect your privacy and never share or sell your details to third parties.
