The Junction @junction_mag has always been a big supporter in my business from conception, and I am so grateful for the write-up in this months October "savour" issue.

Officially introducing - Village Picnic to You! A mobile charcuterie and cheese cart, available to hire for your next event.

The ethos of my business has always been to "support local," hence the name Village Picnic.
As we all know, the phrase "it takes a village to raise a child," which is so true and I am blessed and thankful to have the amazing support of my family and friends to help me raise my two beautiful children. But it also takes a village to run a successful business, and I am grateful for the local businesses, I get to work alongside with, collaborating and creating memorable moments.

As the article mentions, Village Picnic to You started after following two sisters who created Londons first "Build Your Own Cheese Box Bar" @grapeandfig. They inspired me with the idea to tap into the event scene in and around Matakana with a mobile verison.

I engaged James @artbytuss for design and Simon @hawken_builders for construction to create a collaspable mobile cart and Steph @thesimplesignman for signage.

The food sourced and served is a selection of high-quality local artisans such as @matakanasmokehouse_nz @ringawerabaker
@rootstockjournal @matakanabutchery @warkworthbutcherynz @saltyriverfarm @puhoivalley @mangawhairoadcornerpaddock @kaiwakacheeseshop @honeybythesea @wildy_delicious @mahurangi_macadamias and beverages served by dailyorganics to name a few.

Wherever I go, I love to support local. Yes, I know we all crave fast-food on a roadie, but try research and dive a little deeper off the beaten track and support those doing the mahi. It truly keeps our tourist spots going.
